About

Mario Medal Court interpreters play a key role in courts by interpreting for defendants, litigants, and witnesses, thus helping to insure access to justice for thousands of people with limited English proficiency. They must accurately interpret for individuals with very limited education and/or language skills, without changing the level of the language spoken by the speaker. A certified court interpreter must posses several qualifications, all of which Julio Mario Medal has achieved. The first qualification is a high proficiency in both English and the certified non-English language, in Mario Medal’s case this is Spanish. Secondly, the person must have a wide general knowledge characteristic of what a minimum of two years of general education at a college or university would provide. And lastly, the person must perform the three major types of court interpreting: consecutive interpreting, simultaneous interpreting, and sight translation. Mario Medal has gone through all the vigorous processes of becoming a certified court interpreter and has been interpreting for many years.

Mario Medal is a Certified Spanish Court Interpreter for depositions, hearings, trials, mediations, arbitrations, immigration, conferences and escort interpreting. He is also available for document translations from English to Spanish and Spanish to English. He services the following counties: Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino. Mario Medal Interpreter is also available for out of state and out of country interpretation services.

Mario Medal has extraordinary memory skills and a broad legal vocabulary in both English and Spanish. He has the linguistic, speaking, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, interpreting, and behavioral skills necessary to be a successful interpreter. As an interpreter, he is able to handle the widest range of language terms that may be presented in the courts, ranging from specialized legal and technical terminology to street slang and idioms.

During his free time, Mario Medal enjoys teaching salsa dancing and yoga. He is also a wellness advocate for Doterra – promoting the use of pure essential oils to revolutionize the way families manage their health by using nature’s most powerful elements.
